Even when we use this medium we believe that the (another language) and that energy is still there, regardless of what you're recording it in. Whether you're recording it here (pointing to head) using the oral traditions to pass it on, or whether you're recording it in this kind of technology it has the same rules. And there's real conflict in recording these things appropriately. There's real conflict in assembling a good team to do this. There's real conflict in choosing the appropriate people to record. And there's real conflict in the final CRTC broadcast regulations, with the National Film Board, or APTN or anybody that works with Aboriginal people. There is real conflict in those rules that are applied by the broadcaster or the funder or the regulatory body and the rules of the people.
